| Bach Flower Remedies |
Dr. Edward Bach was a renowned British physician and bacteriologist. In 1930,
he gave up his lucrative London practice to devote his time to finding these
Remedies, and perfect his method of Flower Healing. He sought remedies from
the plant world that would restore vitality to the sick and ailing, to help the
patient overcome worry, fear or depression, and to therefore aid his own healing.
The remedies used in this method of treatment are all prepared from the flowers of wild
plants, bushes or trees. None are harmful or habit forming. They are prescribed,
not directly for the physical complaint, but according to the patient’s state of
mind.
Dr. Bach felt that an inharmonious state of mind not only hindered
the recovery of health, but could be the primary cause of the sickness or condition.
He felt that a continued state of fear or worry would deplete a person’s vitality
and resistance, making them unable to heal and more prone to further illnesses.
The most well known of the Remedies is Rescue Remedy, which is actually a combination
of five Remedies which Dr. Bach formulated for emergencies, to use while waiting
for medical help to arrive.
These Remedies are gentle, and are often helpful for our animal companions.
We make custom combinations based on history and behavior, to aid in emotional
healing.
